My.Motto
"Fight discrimination with education"
My.Mission
My Mission is to help fellow Pagans to deal with religious discrimination whilst educating the public about what Paganism really is. I believe that a lack of education about Pagans is the main cause of discrimination against Pagans. People believe that Pagans are evil people and it is our job to correct those people so that they don't continue to spread their bigotry throughout the developing world.
My.Bio
My Name Is Cooper Johns and I am the founder of WiccanSupport. I was brought up baptist and never missed a day of church. My family if full of pastors, missionaries and hardcore "Jesus freaks." However when i reached my adolescent years, I started questioning many things about Christianity like how such good, peaceful, loving people could commit hate crimes and genocides from the witch hunts to the Spanish Conquerors to modern day hate crimes against gays, Pagans, Muslims, and so on. I began thinking about and questioning everything in my path. I was not alone however as in September of 2010, My best friend "Manny" borrowed a book from our local library about witchcraft and he had asked me if i wanted to do some spells with him. With my Christian background, something inside me made me want to not do it but I said yes anyways because he was my friend and I wanted to be with him in case it was dangerous. Later that night he rode the bus with me and we did some spells at my house. The next day at school he came in almost in tears saying that he was really scared of what his mother would think. That was quite the contrary of how i was feeling because Wicca was the answer to my religious uncertainty and I wanted to learn more and more. Manny left the craft that day but I continued. I became self initiated on September 21st 2010. Soon afterwords, I told my mother about me being pagan expecting for her to be supporting. Instead she freaked out and called an exorcist! She thought she had scared me into leaving the craft but little did she know that I love being Wiccan and I'm not going down without a fight.
Soon I decided to create WiccanSupport in order to help newly initiated witches get passed the religious discrimination whilst teaching the public that Wiccans aren't evil and we are Good people.
So follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and catch up on our blog to support the much worthy cause of pagan rights activism and spread the pagan pride! You can actively support the pagan cause and help stop religious prosecution against witches and pagans forever!
