One practice that seems to be in every world religion is fasting, the practicing of abstaining from eating for spiritual purposes. In Hinduism, people fast according to the moon, in Judaism, people fast on certain holidays, in Christianity, people fast without any specific occasions. Regardless of your beliefs, one cannot deny the spiritual significance of fasting, never mind the health benefits! Fasting has many benefits including rejuvenating the body, strengthening the mind and building spiritual awareness. Well, we can read about the signification and all the wonderful studies and articles left and right but why take the word from somebody who just copied the results from somebody else's experience when you could take the word from somebody who has actually fasted himself. Well being the passionate blogger I am (sarcastic grin), I decided to fast for as long as I can. My goal is to fast for at least three days and if I still have motivation after that, I will continue to fast until I give into temptation. I will also try to post a video and a diary to this website daily telling you of all my struggles and acomplishments and how I feel.
