Many young Wiccans (including myself) are automatically deemed social loners and many people often fear them due to thoughts of being cursed or something. Thats why stereotypical teenage Wiccans are Gothic, emo or just plain dark natured individuals. In truth, we are happy, down to earth, loving people who are more often then not misunderstood or frowned upon. If that is you than you may feel like the world is against you and there is NOTHING FARTHER THAN THE TRUTH! But they dont know that. do they? No but you can teach them that we are good without sounding crazy or straight out saying "im a good witch." with these simple steps.
- In schools, you are often givin the chance to write stories or poems and stuff to then say in front of the class. Well you can often take that opportunity to make the moral of your story be like "everybody is equal" or "we need to stop frowning upon social minorities" or something else. Even if you are supposed to write about a certain topic that your teacher has given you, you can still find ways to tie those principals into your paper.
- Wear bright clothes as well as a pentacle or something that tells that you are a wiccan. When many people think about pentacles and other wiccan symbols, they also think about dark images as well and when people see bright colors they often think about positive things. Well if you wear bright clothes and wiccan jewelry, accessories, etc you may be able to train them to them subliminally associate wiccan symbols with positive thoughts.
- In many school bathrooms and buses, people write of the bathroom stalls or the bus seats and walls. This isnt really tolerated by school staff but it still happens. So instead of writing Adam + Kacy xoxo <3 or something, write the wiccan rede (an ye harm none, do as ye will) or pentacles and stuff. Make it so that people see pentacles on a daily basis.
- If you want to come out of the broom closet and tell people that you are a wiccan, don't flat out say "I am a witch," instead say that you follow earth based religious path or that you believe in the powers of nature and the universe. Say that you are Celtic or pagan because many people don't know that witchcraft is associated with paganism and so they accept paganism better that witchcraft.
