Are Christians truely at peace?

Throughout history, Christians have been at war with the world. They think they are spreading the word and helping you get to heaven but If that is the truth, why have they committed mass genocides on "heathen" civilizations in history? One Incidence is Christopher Columbus. When he saw that the mayans, aztecs and other central americans were worshipping their own gods, he never tried to spread christianity and "save their souls,"  instead he started one of the biggest genocides in history and just about wiped out their whole civilization! Also in the witch trials, they never tried to convert the witches into christianity but they just tortured and executed them! So even though they might not go back to genocides and executions, If we don't become more assertive and make them know that they cant make everybody a christian and that they just have to learn to live at peace with the world instead of killing anyone who they dont agree with. Dont change just because they want you to change. stay strong! blessed be!

Touche little one :). I am pleased to see that you have the courage to stand up for what you believe in and what feel right to you. One of my favorite sayings is that "you can't preach humble on a high horse"... Christianity is the epitome of such offence. Their pastors and such stand at a position of power and demand that you live by their standards. But once they step down from the podium, do they practice the same standards? Nay! History is wrought by instances of their deception. Christian practitioners are just as guilty, if not more so... They hide behind a book, written by man, and commit unforgivable atrocities with self righteousness as their guide and a "Holier that tho" motto, all the while preaching peace, love and humility. The Union between the Sky Father and Mother Earth made me the person that I am, far from perfect, but good at heart. As Long as someone is truly a good person, the fact that they do not dress in their Hypocritical "Sunday's best" facade and join a crowd of others seeking direction because they have lost their own way, should not be the jumping point to attack that person's character. Good people are good people, bad people are bad people... no amount of waving a book and Sunday brunches can change that. Only they themselves can change who they are inside. Blessed Be!
